Local attractions

To make your time after medical treatments even more enjoyable, we offer a wide range of additional attractions. The Augustów Health Resort Sanatorium is located near Lake Necko, where you’ll find an extensive beach and a clean bathing area—so you can fully enjoy the benefits of nature.

We provide tourist bicycles as well as Nordic walking poles. For lovers of relaxation, we have prepared sun loungers on the beach. It’s also worth taking advantage of other attractions in the city. Water sports equipment is available for rent: kayaks, scooters, boats, motorboats and water bikes.

There’s also something for the youngest guests: a water slide, a beach volleyball court at the beach by the Augustów Health Resort Sanatorium, and, nearby, a go-kart track, tennis courts, a “funfair,” and also the first electric water-ski lift in Poland. All of this will liven up your free time. In addition, the Sanatorium organizes optional excursions and many other events. Below is a list of available attractions.

Riga (Riga’s Old Town is one of the smallest—but also one of the most beautiful—in Europe. Riga is known above all for its Old Town, listed by UNESCO as cultural heritage. On this trip, you’ll see the Hill of Crosses in Šiauliai—its view is truly amazing.)
Klaipėda – Palanga (Excursions to Palanga and Klaipėda have only become a hit in the last two seasons. Exactly two years ago, the dolphinarium was reopened after a major renovation. Kids love shows featuring animals. Long, sandy beaches surrounded by dunes and Palanga’s unique microclimate also work like a magnet for tourists.)

One-day kayaking trips along scenic sections of the Czarna Hańcza or Rospuda rivers
Cycling and walking tours along tourist routes with a guide. A popular cycling route in Eastern Poland with a length of over 2,000 km is Green Velo. The route runs through five provinces: Warmian-Masurian, Podlaskie, Lublin, Subcarpathian and Świętokrzyskie. In Augustów, it loops near Lake Sajno, running through the town, along Lake Necko and Białe to Lake Studzieniczne. By the beach at the sanatorium, there is the Bicycle Route Service Point for the Green Velo trail.
