Local attractions

To make your time after treatment more enjoyable, we offer many additional attractions. The Sanatorium Uzdrowiskowe Augustów, located near Lake Necko—where you’ll find a spacious beach and a clean bathing area—lets you draw on the benefits of nature.

We provide touring bicycles and Nordic walking poles. For lovers of relaxation, we have sun loungers on the beach. You can also take advantage of other attractions in the city. Water sports equipment is available to rent: kayaks, scooters, boats, motorboats, and water bikes.

There’s also something for the youngest guests: a water slide, a beach volleyball court at the beach by the Sanatorium Uzdrowiskowe Augustów, and within easy reach a go-kart track, tennis courts, a “funfair,” and Poland’s first electric water-ski lift. All of this will make your free time more varied. In addition, the Sanatorium organizes optional excursions and many other events. Below is a list of available attractions.

Riga (Riga Old Town is one of the smallest yet also one of the most beautiful in Europe. Riga is known above all for its Old Town, listed by UNESCO as a cultural heritage site. On this trip, you’ll see the Hill of Crosses in Šiauliai—its view is truly astonishing.)
Klaipėda – Palanga (Excursions to Palanga and Klaipėda have only become a hit in the last two seasons. Exactly two years ago, a dolphinarium was opened after a major renovation. Kids love animal-involved performances. They also attract tourists thanks to Palanga’s long, sandy beaches surrounded by dunes and its unique microclimate.)

Day trips for scenic kayak descents along picturesque stretches of the Czarna Hańcza or Rospuda rivers
Cycling and hiking trails with a guide. A popular cycling route located in Eastern Poland with a length of over 2,000 km is Green Velo. The route runs through five provinces: Warmian-Masurian, Podlaskie, Lublin, Subcarpathian, and Świętokrzyskie. In Augustów it makes a loop near Lake Sajno, running through the town, along Lake Necko and Lake Białe to Lake Studzieniczne. At the beach by the sanatorium, there is the Green Velo Cyclists’ Service Point.
